Pre-Trip & Perth

This travel-blog will not be writing anything really exciting or interesting.
It is just a record of a family trip.
A record of the growing period of Toddler Keena.
Simple yet enjoyable.
=)

.

Mum putting on a jacket for Keena.
As my mum is a home-maker, she is taking care of Keena full-time.
The relationship between them is very close.
I was joking with my mum that Keena was her 4th Child.
.
By observing my mum's selfless care towards Keena, I know that my siblings and myself had been very well taken care by my mum when we were very young. My mum definitely and will always commands the highest respect from us (her children).
.
Hope Keena will grow up and be grateful to my mum.

Keena & Almo
.
We asked Keena 'Where's Elmo's Ears?'
She was flipping Elmo around looking for his ears & looking puzzled.
Hahha....

Testing Keena...
We have been teaching her 1-2-3 and A-B-C in sequence.
Yet, when we jumbled up the sequence, we were pleasantly surprised that she can recognise most of the numbers and alphabets. That's very impressive for a 18 mths old toddler.
.
Sometimes, she can be a bit confused.
eg. The picture above. She said "9" instead of "P".
When we write the alphabet "O", she would say "EGG".
haha...

"Market-ing" time!!!
I like the rich colours of the fruits & vege.
.
.
.
Traveling with a toddler is not easy (for the caretaker).
Everyday my mum would be the first one to wake up and cook the food for Keena.
So regular "market-ing" was required, as we were constantly on the move.

One of Keena's favourite thing to do is to climb stairs.
She can do it almost non-stop!!!
We have to stop her.
I guess she gets alot of self-satisfaction by climbing and walking down the stairs.
We have been staying in quite a few double-storey self-contained apartments, so there are alot of different kinda stairs for her to try.

One of the best Fish 'n Chip I ever tasted.
(I was flexi on this trip - ate no land animal, but sorry to the sea creatures)
.
.
.

One of Keena's favourite activities - Chasing Birds
She will always say "Bird Bird Fly!".
As it was very windy, even the Seagull as reluctant to fly, so when Keena was chasing them, the seagulls were literally RUNNING away. Judging on the picture, the birds were not too happy about it. haha...

Sunglass!

I just like the feel and design of it.

Next morning, I took a walk at the beach outside of the apartment.

One Snail???

Nope.
A Colony of snails.
.
.
.

Good to see a beach with nobody and no ship.
.
.
.
While I was out strolling along the beach alone,
What was Keena doing?

She ransacked her dad's wallet!!!
When i came back, she took a look at me and continued playing with the money.
haha....

Keena pointed and said "FLO...WER.."

We were not too eager to go to too many places, as we wanted to travel slowly and in a relax manner. We spent quite alot of time in the self-contained apartment/house. Below is my favourite house that we stayed:

3-bedroom House, with big living room & kitchen, a indoor Jacuzzi, fireplace
+
Nice & Peaceful surrounding (away from the main road).
.
.
.
What's Keena doing in this house?

She volunteered to sweep the floor.
Haha...
.
.
.

Bringing Keena outside of the house.
Simple things like walking on the soft-soil was very enjoyable.
Simplicity is beautiful indeed.

A Stream not far away from the house.

Drinking a chilled Ginger Beer and enjoying the quiet moment.
So peaceful and relaxing.
What more can I ask for?
.
.
.
At night, it was quite cold.
Despite having the heater, we decided to set up the fireplace.
My Dad attempted to start the fire, but he failed and gave up (may be after 20mins).
My Sis attempted too, she failed too and did not give up.
I attempted too... failed at first too, but did not give up as well.
Sometimes, we (my sis and I) are so competitive that we always want to win.
Abit Childish since we are quite old already, but it's fun! haha...
.
.
.
I spent about 30-40mins, requesting my sis NOT to help me.

Finally... my first time setting up a fireplace.

Next morning, we decided to bring Keena to a farm visit:

This was the first time Keena saw so many kinds of animals.
She was really happy.

it pales in comparison to the unseen beauties in life.
